It's been a while since I've reviewed the latest fashion collections mostly because since the "Yeezy" era, everything coming out has since just been zombie wear, unoriginal, and just flat out basic. But these recent collections have made me go, "Hmm... well okay then."
Coach came thru with some mixes of plaid, paisley, leather, & y'all know I LOVE me some fringes. I often include my own detailed leather fringes in my personal designs for most of my customized jackets... but onto more Coach 19'.
Then there was Zimmerman which I just started really paying attention to this year and I was thoroughly pleased. The mustard paired with dark cherry leather is highly needed in my life!
The ruffle details and floral prints are a refreshing reminder of Spring going into the fall so I see a lot of transitional pieces that I can appreciate even more so. Those are the pieces I honestly love most when Spring is just ending and we start approaching the new season so it's like that cold in the morning - hot in the afternoon - then back cold again in the evening - weather.
Then there's most recently the Fendi collection giving us late 60's but mainly 70's vibes with a refreshing modern twist in the silhouettes & playing with mixture of fabrics.
Surprising Spring colors in these collections and I gotta say I LOVE IT!
I love breaking traditions and straying away from the stereotypical dark colors for Fall. This is a fresh take on retro vibes modernized with the lace details and over-sized coats.
Shout out to Fendi for truly going all out with these shots. I mean the styling down to the backgrounds are perfect 70's vibes.
Then of course I have to end it for now with Moschino, I will forever love Moschino... until I can afford it. I need to find a plus size or menswear Moschino belt like ASAP. Somebody...anybody... hook a sista up!
I'm a huge fan of costume design and mixing bold prints. I know some people look at fashion like this as "tacky" or "too costumey", but what the hell is the point of runway without a show ? I say honey GIVE IT! GIVE ME A SHOW! I wish I could get some flicks from the 'TheBlonds' show because they are absolutely my all time fave, but until then.
